At 45 meters tall (148 feet) this is a Super Big Buddha. It sits on top of a big hill and has an amazing view.
Big Buddha is about 1 hour by taxi away from TwinPalms.

This festival is from Oct. 16th-25th and is NOT for the faint of heart. To bring good health and peace of mind this festival is famous for it’s.. extreme celebrations. These acts are meant to invoke the gods and range from firewalking, body piercing and other acts of self-mortification.
Bystander injuries are common since there is heavy and unregulated use of firecrakers.
Look for yellow flags with red Chinese or Thai characters to find vegetarian food stalls during this time.
